Dear Apex Shark Expeditions -- Hi. My name is Tonya Weist emailing you from Houston Texas. I share your passion for sharks, especially, Great White sharks. Great White sharks are THE epitome of evolutionary excellence!

I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau, age 8, in the late 70's, followed by The Discovery Channel in 1982, followed by The Discovery Channel's Shark Week in 1988 -- finally!!  Then came the amazing, never seen before, Air Jaws in 1992 -- WOW Mate!! I was awe struck from the couch to the TV & have never been the same since. I continue to follow The Discovery Channel & Shark Week 3 decades later as I'm 44 years old -- almost .  This weekend I'm watching The Discovery Channel's SHWEEKEND!

I wanted to email you to thank you, Chris, Monique, your crew & The Discovery Channel for consistently informing the public, globally, that Great White Sharks are not mindless killers;  but, indeed are sophisticated communicators that methodically evaluate their environment & those fortunate enough to be in it. Through your amazing film making efforts you have educated a very ignorant public dispelling negative stereotypes of sharks, like in the movie Jaws, & illustrate the beauty, strength & stealth of Great White sharks.

Shark Week 2015 was no disappointment!! With the filming of Air Jaws, you really do appreciate the stealth, size, strength & beauty of the Great White shark. Thank you!!  Maybe one day I will have the amazing honor & opportunity to cage dive with Apex Shark Expeditions!

Again, Thank you Chris, Monique, your crew & The Discovery Channel for sacrificing your personal time, money & resources to successfully educate, document, & globally network people all in the name shark preservation.

Thank you,

God bless,

Sincerely,

Tonya Weist
