Field Course in Shark Biology: Encounter with the Great Sharks in South Africa
Alessandro De Maddalena is one of the major shark experts of the world. He is the curator of the Italian Great White Shark Data Bank and a founding member of the Mediterranean Shark Research Group. His research findings have been published in over thirty scientific papers. He is the author of seventeen books on sharks, including, among others, Sharks of the Adriatic Sea, Mako Sharks, Sharks of the Pacific Northwest, Sharks - The Perfect Predators, Hammerhead Sharks, Sharks of New England, Great White Sharks in United States Museums, and Mediterranean Great White Sharks. Considered one of the best marine wildlife illustrators, he has produced hundreds of illustrations of sharks and cetaceans. He is also the author of seventy popular articles in wildlife magazines.
