Natural Predation Observation

These are our premier expeditions of the year and the focus of these expeditions is on observing and photographing the famous and uniquely intense natural predation behaviour between the Great White Shark and the Cape Fur Seal. This is one of the most spectacular natural history battles on the Planet and a privilege to have realistic opportunities of viewing this.

Natural Predation and Breaching is our specific area of expertise and having witnessed and recorded just over 9500 predatory events in the last 20 years we are able to use our knowledge and experience to achieve these goals. The dates for these expeditions have been chosen over what is historically the most intense natural predatory activity period at Seal Island.

We have a considerable respect and field knowledge for both predator and prey. Our emphasis is to make sure we do our best to put the wildlife first and whilst you will be close enough to get great viewing and photographic opportunities, we will not push the limits to interfere with the event.

Simon's Town

The trips operate in the waters surrounding Seal Island in False Bay, Simon' Town. This small Island is unquestionably the first choice location to see Great White Shark predation. Witnessing these enormous predators propel themselves clear of the water is truly a spectacular experience.
